GCH Buttin' Heads Wedding Proposal 2*M DOB 04-11-08 LA2010 V+EV 88 VG (First Freshener) 20.5" Sire: Velvet Acres Profiterole Dam: CH/ARMCH Buttin' Heads Wedding Song 3*D LAEEEE FS91 (13 x ADGA BDIS) Body and Udder: Three year old, second freshener. I've long admired 'Posie's' dam, and when I saw a daughter was available I knew I had to have her! Posie is a slightly different body type than the rest of my girls, and should cross well with my more refined animals. Posie's strengths lie in her body capacity, width across the chest floor, upright pasterns, length from hips to pins, and width from thurl to thurl. While her toes point straight ahead, they could be tighter. I would like her to have flatter bone, and better dairy character. Her mammary system is very nice, with a high, large area of rear attachment, strong lateral attachments, and excellent capacity. I would like to see a more defined MSL and softer texture. And she is a milk cow! As a first freshener (who had a single kid) Posie has consistently been putting around 4lbs in the pail. At a One-Day Test at a HOT show, Posie milked 3.9lbs, earning her milking star! On lease to Siena Rasmussen of Alethia Homestead Show Record: ADGA: 1 x Best of Breed, 2 x Sr. Grand Champion, 2 x Sr. Reserve Grand Champion (one restricted leg), 3 x Jr. Reserve Grand Champion.

Algedi Farm MH Andante DOB 03-23-10 Young Stock LA: VVEc V 20.5" Unofficial measurement at two years old: 21.5" Sire: Algedi Farm MB Manuka Honey Body and udder: Two year old, first freshener. Andante is everything I could I have hoped for and more - long, dairy, and elegant with a level topline, wide, high thurls (though, unfortunately she did inherit mama's raised dorsal process), incredible length from hips to pins, a tight and smooth front end assembly, a beautiful rear leg set, well sprung ribs that flow towards her flank, and personality to spare. She's as sweet as the day is long, and is a very well mannered gal for the most part. I have a hard time finding fault with her, but as typical for her bloodlines, she does toes out slightly (worse of her left leg, as she broke it as a kid and it was not set correctly), and I'd like more spacing between her ribs. Oh, and a broader muzzle would be nice. Okay, and I wish she didn't have so much white on her, I'm not a fan of loud color. ;^) Andante's first freshening mammary system looks like it will be one of the best udders to come out of my herd. Talk about socked on! My only real complaint is her teensy teats! I'm hopeful they will stretch over time, as her texture and orifices are lovely. Her show record speaks for itself. At only two weeks fresh she earned 1st place udder in three rings, in a large class against many second fresheners. One judge remarked if she were to choose a reserved Best Udder Of Breed she would have gone with Andante! I think this doe has a very bright future ahead of her. Show Record: ADGA: 3 x 1st udder, 2 x Sr. 1st, 1 x Sr. 2nd, 1 x Jr. RGCH, 1 x Jr. 2nd (out of fifteen yearlings). |

Retired. (Eldora is the paternal granddam of CH Algedi Farm D Capella) Esperanza RF Eldora LA2007
+VVV 85 VG 20" Sire: PromisedLand LD Royal Flush *S (Deceased) Dam: MCH Esperanaza ZZ Feona (Deceased) Eldora has good depth of body, tight shoulders and withers, nice top line, straight front legs, loose dairy skin and a W-I-D-E escutcheon. We would like to see better angulation in her. Dora has a stunning first freshening udder! She has spot-on teat placement, a nice MSL, nice front attachments and great side attachments! She does lack in height of rear udder attachment, but another freshening could fix that. Eldora kidded on 02-26-07 with a single buckling sired by Algedi Farm Drops Of Jupiter. Buckling (Desperado) will be retained. Due to kidding complications on both freshenings, Dora is now enjoying an early retirement as our spoiled pet. Show Record: ADGA: 1x Sr. Reserve Grand Champion, 4x 1st AGS: 1x Jr. restricted leg, 1 x Jr. 1st NDGA: 1x Jr. 1st. Kalee's Notes: Dora is my baby! She loves to sleep on my lap and chew her cud. She'd stay there all day if she could. She has that "look at me" attitude in the show ring, and even sets her self up at times! She's my "show girl" for sure!
